Biography
Alexander Horswill is a lecturer at the Edge Hotel School, University of Essex. Alexander is proudly an alumnus of the University of Essex, where he completed his BA Hons in hotel management in 2018, and his MSc in management and marketing in 2021. He was awarded the highest mark in two consecutive years and was presented with a scholarship for his academic excellence. In 2022, Alexander worked for a management consulting company in the economic core: London. He worked alongside senior directors including Lego, Tui, and Vodafone to provide innovative solutions and business strategies for operational, and financial inefficiencies and was responsible for managing projects worth £500,000. Alexander has over six years experience in the hospitality industry and has a passion for the food and beverage industry. He has worked as Assistant Restaurant Manager at a four-star country house hotel for four years and as Duty Manager for two years. Alexander’s research interests focus on understanding customer behaviour and online engagement in the hospitality industry. Additionally, he is interested in consumerism, marketing practices and social media content strategies.
