Profile

Biography

I am working as a knowledge transfer partnership (KTP) associate for the Skin AI Model project through a collaboration between Check4Cancer Ltd and the University of Essex, UK. I was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Glasgow, UK. My project was about developing a deep learning framework to prevent thermal imaging attacks on user interfaces. I did my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar. My PhD dissertation was about the application of advanced machine learning techniques for diabetes management and prediction. I worked on artifact removal from EEG signals for ambulatory epileptic seizure prediction applications during my MSc studies at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. My works have been published in IEEE Sensor and biomedical signal processing journals. The majority of my work involves collecting and processing data (EEG, CGM, EHR, and images), pre-processing, feature engineering, feature selection, and fusion, developing and optimizing machine and deep learning models.
