Biography
Ville is a Knowledge Exchange Manager at the University of Essex working with academics in Essex Business School and the Faculty of Arts & Humanities to facilitate engagement and relationships with business, and the public and not-for-profit sectors. His role involves supporting Schools & Departments develop a strategic approach for knowledge exchange to help diversify income streams, build networks and relationships, commercialise research-led expertise and IP, and facilitate demonstration of research impact through knowledge exchange activities. He was part of the Senior Management Team of the ESRC-funded Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project and co-ordinated Essex's involvement on the ERDF-funded KEEP+ and TALE business support programmes. Ville has previously worked for the Department for Business & Trade, Business Wales and Business Finland in trade development advisory and consultancy roles.
