Thesis

Non-foliar photosynthesis and water use in wheat ears.

To meet global food demands projected for 2050, food production must increase significantly despite stagnating crop yields and escalating climate challenges. Functional stomata on wheat ears suggest that non-foliar photosynthesis could enhance yield and resilience. This research explores wheat ear photosynthesis, an emerging field with key questions yet to be addressed.
