Biography
My PhD investigated the impact of cumulative life stress and neuromodulation on adults’ cognitive function and subjective well-being. I have worked in the Department of Psychology at the University of Essex on a wide range of research projects. These include visual attention, cognition, subjective well-being, electromagnetic hypersensitivity and decision-making. I have also worked on collaborative industry projects related to energy management and usability testing. I have extensive experience with transcranial electrical stimulation methods, such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). Transcranial electrical stimulation offers safe, practical and cost-effective applications in research and clinical settings. I also have extensive experience in a wide range of research design and analysis methods. I am currently working on a collaborative project called NETWORK PLUS (London South Bank University, Imperial College, University of Sussex, University of Essex). The project PI is Professor Sandra Dudley-Mcevoy at LSBU. Our team's role is to understand the psychological and socio-technical factors important to consumer acceptance and engagement with 'prosumerism' (generating, storing and trading of electricity) in a new area of green energy and smart grid technology. When I'm not working on my research I enjoy outdoor activities like cycling with my local club, running and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
