Biography

Rama Kummitha is a senior lecturer of Entrepreneurship at Essex Business School. Previously he has held positions at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, University of Liege, Belgium, United Nations University, Japan, and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India. He was also a visiting scholar at Cornell University, USA (2015) and Graduate Institute of Policy Studies, Japan (2013-2015). His research interest lies in entrepreneurship and organisational change. He studies entrepreneurship in several research settings including but not limited to social entrepreneurship, smart cities, and hybrid organisations. His research has appeared in journals such as California Management Review, Government Information Quarterly, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, R&D Management, Information Technology & People, Creativity and Innovation Management and Cities. He is the author of two monographs: social entrepreneurship and social inclusion (Sage: 2016), and social entrepreneurship: processes, practices and prospects (Palgrave: 2017). Rama is open to supervise Ph.D., dissertations in any area of his interest.
