Predictive Maintenance of a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Robotic System in Nuclear Environments

Robot teleoperations are crucial for high radiation environments like nuclear fusion power plant maintenance. Radiation damages robots' electronics, affecting performance. This project aims to develop predictive maintenance for a COTS robotic system by creating an on-chip monitoring system to gather hardware metrics. Using ML/DL models, it predicts abnormal behaviour, enhancing reliability without halting missions. This research supports fault mitigation and cost-effective nuclear operations.
