Biography

Dr Mostafa Marghany obtained his PhD in Business Management from Swansea University, Swansea, UK, in 2022. His doctoral research, titled "Working in Heritage Hotels: An Exploratory Study," focused on the unique challenges and opportunities within the heritage hotel sector. This study provided valuable insights into the intersection of traditional hospitality practices and modern business management techniques. His research interests span several key areas within the hospitality industry. His work focuses on hospitality work, employee experiences, psychological contracts and people management, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of employment and technology. He is actively involved in teaching a range of subjects related to business management and hospitality. His teaching portfolio includes: - PG Dissertation Supervision: Guiding postgraduate students through their dissertation projects, ensuring rigorous academic standards and fostering research skills. - Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour: Covering key aspects of HR management and organisational dynamics, with a focus on improving workplace effectiveness. - Food, Beverage, and Accommodation Management: Providing insights into the operational aspects of the hospitality industry, including management strategies for food services, beverages, and accommodation. - Business Strategy: Exploring strategic management principles and their application in various business contexts. - Business Environment: Examining the external factors that impact business operations, including economic, social, and regulatory influences. - Contemporary Issues: Addressing current trends and challenges in the business world, with a focus on emerging issues and innovative solutions. Dr Marghany is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a recognition that underscores his commitment to excellence in teaching and his contribution to enhancing the quality of higher education. His academic background and teaching experience reflect his commitment to advancing knowledge in business management and hospitality, offering students a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field.
