Biography

Winifred is a PhD candidate from the Department of Government. She began her academic career studying a BA in International Relations at the University of Essex. Immediately after her undergraduate studies, she studied an MSc in Public Policy and Administration at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research interests lie within the intersection of political economy and environmental politics. She aims to contribute to the growing knowledge and discourse surrounding the political economy of decarbonisation in oil and gas-exporting countries. Outside of academia, she is a sustainable finance analyst with demonstrated history in sovereign debt ESG analysis and country risk. As a result of her professional and academic experiences, she is well-versed in the areas of macroeconomics, financial markets, political economy, public policy and ESG.
