Carlos Moral Reis

Biography

Born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1976. Has a MA in Theatre Design at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (University of Theatre and Cinema of Lisbon) Since 1995 has been working as a set designer, prop maker and stage technician at João Barros Scenic Workshop, Teatro Praga, Teatro da Garagem, Artistas Unidos, Filipe La Feria Company, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos (approx. 60 operas including Graham Vick's Wagner Ring Cycle), The Baroque Opera Company Os Músicos do Tejo and Companhia Nacional de Bailado (National Ballet Company of Portugal) among others. Since 2013, has been working as a set designer for East 15 Acting School, having so far designed more than 70 productions. As a freelance, has been invited to design for Lacuna Theatre, Nando Messias and Tropicalia Company.
