Biography

Dr Rab is a Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex. Before joining University of Essex, he was as Postdoctoral research associate in Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Glasgow, Scotland. Previously he was a visiting research scholar at University of Graz, Austria. Rab received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from International Islamic University and NUST University, Islamabad, Pakistan, respectively. He obtained his PhD in Engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. His PhD research was in the domain of Neurofeedback training and Brain-computer interface (BCI). During his professional career he has performed cutting-edge research in the field of Biomedical Engineering, BCI and Machine Learning. He has co-authored quality research papers, including in leading international journals and peer-reviewed international conference proceedings. He has also received the best paper awards at two international conferences.
