Profile
Biography
Graduated from University of Bradford in Physiotherapy in 1998 Worked for Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust for 5 years, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. In October 2002, moved into teaching at the Colchester Institute. In 2009 became the programme lead for BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (Part-time) programme at the University of Essex. In 2012 gained MSc in Medical and Clinical Education, in which I undertook research to explore Students responses to audio-recorded feedback. The impact of this research has been positive and audio-recorded feedback is integrated into my teaching and assessment approach. Research Interests: In 2013, I embarked upon PhD study. The project is exploring how gait (walking) and balance change through normal ageing and how physiotherapists can utilise measures of gait and balance as useful predictors of health challenges as we age.
