Profile
Biography
I am a Lecturer in Management and Marketing at Essex Pathways Department. I am also currently serving as the DDLO and hold the position of Coordinator for the EBS-Econ Pathways. Since 2021, I have been involved in the project “Students as Active Participants in Their Learning” where I am exploring academic coaching interventions to inform strategic insights into higher education policy at the University of Essex. I am a researcher with a dual focus in the fields of critical marketing and qualitative research methodologies. My work explores the relationship between marketing and places in crisis, particularly how marketing practices intersect with communities emerging from challenges such as post-conflict rebuilding or political disruptions. Additionally, I am deeply interested in the dynamics between marketing and identity, with a specific focus on issues of exclusion and marginalization. My second area of expertise lies in the development and application of qualitative research methodologies. I specialize in grounded theory and visual methods, and I have a strong commitment to working with vulnerable groups, particularly in disrupted/divided settings.
