Biography

I completed my BSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Essex in 2024, where I developed a strong interest in human biology and virology. This led me to undertake a wet lab final year project under the supervision of Stathis Giotis, focusing on producing pseudoviruses for the uncultivable human seasonal coronavirus HKU1. During this project, I became deeply intrigued by HKU1 and its mechanisms, inspiring me to pursue further research as part of an MSD. My current focus is on identifying the entry receptors used by HKU1 to infect host cells.
