Research interests include Linguistic Theory, Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Language and Identity, English Language, Teaching English as a Second Language; African Language and Literature, Language Processing, Literacy and Bilingualism; Language Policy and Planning, Media and Communication, and Human Resource Management.
