Biography
I am an Austrian-based PhD student of Psychoanalytic Studies in the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex. I started my part-time PhD in 2021 after completing my MA studies in Management and Organisational Dynamics at Essex. Previously, I worked for over 10 years in HR, executive search and management consulting. Besides my studies at Essex, I am a self-employed psychoanalytic-oriented psychotherapist in training and lead the HR development team at a well-received European university. My primary research interest is the link between psychoanalytic/psychodynamic theory, organisational studies and management sciences. As part of my research project, I investigate how (professional) role identity unconsciously develops in young management consultants. Thereby, I use psychodynamic and systems theories in the Tavistock tradition. I would welcome to connect with researchers who share a similar interest, want to exchange thoughts on psychoanalytic research methods, or want to participate in my project.
