Profile
Biography
Neil studied at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Colchester Institute. He has worked as a Musical Director, Lecturer, Arranger, Vocal Coach, Pianist, Accompanist and Singing Teacher since 2000, and has taught at institutions including Central School of Speech and Drama, London School of Musical Theatre and Colchester Institute. Neil's work as a Musical Director has taken him all over the UK, North America and Scandinavia. He was the MD of the World Premiere of 'The Legend of Beowulf', the Scottish Premiere of 'Ragtime', and a UK tour of 'The Wind in the Willows'. He has a long association with the work of Stephen Sondheim and has conducted award-winning productions of, among others, 'Sweeney Todd', 'Sunday in the Park With George,' 'Side by Side by Sondheim' and 'West Side Story'.
