Profile

Biography

I joined the University of Essex as Lecturer (R) in December 2022. I have previously taught undergraduates and postgraduates across three universities in Singapore. My research interests are in language (particularly pragmatic inferences), pragmatic impairments and cognition across the lifespan, with a particular focus on the effects of bilingualism in these areas. I am also interested in the role of the environment (language input, SES etc.) on language development and language disorders in both monolinguals and bilinguals. I am happy to supervise postgraduate students who are interested in these areas.
