Profile

Biography

I have an Emergency Nursing background, but have also worked in Community Nursing, Endoscopy, Health Visiting and Primary Care as the Lead Nurse in a GP Surgery. During the Covid-19 Pandemic I took up the role as Team Leader for the Public Health England Track & Trace Programme before moving on to become a Senior Public Health Protection Practitioner overseeing and liaising with workplaces and Health and Social Care settings implementing the Government Guidelines and SOPs as they evolved. Currently I concentrate on Minor Illness and Injuries maintaining my Clinical Skills within an Urgent Treatment Centre. I strive to be the best Nurse and Lecturer I can, providing and teaching safe patient centred care; achieved through a holistic and evidence-based approach to all in my care and students I teach. Furthermore, to strive to continue my learning and development throughout my nursing and teaching career. To utilise my skills and experience to support and develop other clinicians and students, through both formal and informal learning.
