Biography

I am a Research Development Manager for the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Essex. I support academic colleagues in generating applications to a range of funding bodies. My role also includes finding and distributing funding calls, liaising with funders, and providing training for academics. Prior to joining Essex I worked at the University of Edinburgh and the Economic and Social Research Council. I received my PhD in Politics from the University of Hull. My research has been published in the Journal of Latin American Studies, the Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History, Twentieth Century British History, the European Review of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and The Round Table. I authored US-Grenadian Relations: From Revolution to Intervention (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007) and co-edited (with Patsy Lewis and Peter Clegg) Grenada Revolution and Invasion (University of the West Indies Press, 2015). My research has been funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and the British Academy.
