Biography
Dr Jinya Su left University of Essex in 2022 and currently holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer. He has published 50+ journal papers in Intelligent Autonomous Systems and their industrial applications. He has received the Outstanding Early Career Researcher Award from UoE (2020). ------------------------------------------------------------ He has led (as a PI/CoI) or participated a number of projects worth £4+ Million: Major projects at Essex: 4. Four PhD studentships including BBSRC Studentship (2021), TWI studentship (2021), Cross-faculty studentship (2020), Departmental studentship (Opportunitiy 2, 2022). But most end without beginning. 3. Oct/2021-Oct/2023: UAV remote sensing for rail trackside vegetation management, (Knowledge Transfer Partnerships) KTP project with Railscape, £188,629, Academic Supervisor. 2. Apr/2021-Apr/2022: FollowPV-Developing autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles with spatial awareness for improved image quality from solar farm inspections, Innovate UK: Robotics for a more resilient future R&D strand, £354.81K, Essex PI, in collaboration with Above Surveying Ltd (Lead) and Loughborough University. 1.
