Funding for data analytics research projects

Businesses can access greater support and tailored data analytics services from the Business and Local Government Data Research Centre through Data Analytics Innovation Vouchers (DAIV).

DAIVs unlock funding for organisations to engage with cutting-edge data expertise. This grant-funded service enables businesses of all sizes to benefit from the data they hold. Find out more on our application page.

Training

Our industry experts offer training tailored to your team of data analysts and IT department. From introductory to advanced levels, your staff will acquire new skills.

Delivered by leading academics, our hugely popular funded workshops provide an engaging way to bridge data analytics skills gaps as you learn from leading experts in the field of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. Challenge Labs

Our Challenge Labs are interactive workshops where our research experts work with your team to find solutions to a specific problem using innovative smart data analytics and research.

Outcomes can include scoping potential research projects, training needs and priority areas to be addressed using data analytics, creating new partnerships for wider impact.

Consultations

Consultations are flexible meetings that can take place via phone or in person. Whether you want to discuss the potential of a project or would like us to guide you through our easy DAIV application process, our experts are happy to help. Our consultations are completely free of charge, with no obligation to proceed.

Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)

We are happy to refer businesses who are interested in being part of a KTP. This flagship Innovate UK programme is designed to help businesses develop a new product or improve a process.

As part of a KTP, you will work with a specially selected team of academics. Additionally, a high-calibre postgraduate will be based at your company as a research associate and manage the project, which can run up to three years.
