We would like to extend a very warm welcome to our newest undergraduate students!

Congratulations on achieving your A Level results and securing your place on a degree from Essex Business School at the University of Essex. I am James Norman, Head of Operations and Business Services for Essex Business School, and it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our department. I will meet many of you during Welcome Week, but for now, our Undergraduate Programme Directors for the Accounting, Finance, Management and Marketing and Southend subject areas would like to wish you congratulations and a subject flavoured welcome to the department.

I am Head of Operations and Business Services at Essex Business School.

I am responsible for the successful leadership and delivery of all professional services activities, and help to shape our future direction, drive forward change, and contribute to the delivery of excellence and success in EBS.

I undertake a wide range of strategic planning, financial, and human resources management activities, and collaborate with external stakeholders and business partners to support the School's strategic priorities.

I am also a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools' Professional Managers' Committee.
