Because your accommodation will provide the backdrop to your first year adventures – the good, the bad, and the downright messy.

Guaranteed for First years

Offer holders are guaranteed campus accommodation. And there’s a wide variety of exciting, comfortable options on offer to suit all budgets, from studios to single en-suite rooms, retro Towers to Townhouses. Joining us in Clearing? There’s still time to get your halls locked in – just make sure you meet the 25 August deadline.

Safe as houses

Lost your keys? Feeling homesick? Whenever you need practical advice or emotional support, there’s always someone around to help. The Student Services Hub is the place to go for the information you need. And, you’ll have a whole community of fellow students to hang out with if you need a friend.

The cost of living challenges will impact our students. We know that. Which is why all our accommodation costs include your energy bills and internet access so regardless of what happens to supplier costs, you can rest assured you’ll be fine with Essex.

While some of our buildings are brutalist in style, our grounds are green and beautiful. From the always-happening, bustling square, to the peace and serenity of the duck pond, you can feel totally at home wherever you’re hanging out.

Who doesn’t want an easy life?

Imagine waking up each morning minutes away from your lectures. No rushing, no buses, just lots of lie-ins and leisurely breakfasts. Plus, everyone’s in the same boat, so you’re sure to make friends who live right on your doorstep. Ready to live the uni experience? Offer holders can apply for halls right away. If you don’t have an offer just yet, Clearing opens on 5 July. So no matter what happens with your results, there’s still the chance to make Essex your home in 2023.
