You’ve done it, you’ve finished your degree. What an amazing achievement. Congratulations! Through everything 2020 (and let’s face it, a big chunk of 2021) threw at you, with the world looking very different to what you would have expected when you started, you’ve worked hard and you’ve done it.
Don’t forget, even though you may have finished studying, you are a member of Essex for life. One of over 100,000 Essex graduates based in 150 countries. And we’ll be here for you every step of the way.
Whether you’re unsure of your next steps or need help to achieve your goals, you’ll have access to careers support for life. And for the next 15 months, you can sign up to Generation Essex for even more specialist support to help kickstart your career, including 1:1 careers coaching, tailored events and webinars, online resources via CareerHub+ and start-up support for a business or theatre company.
And this is just one part of your alumni membership to take advantage of, with a range of benefits available wherever you are in the world. These include free access to digital resources on JSTOR to keep in up to date with your subject, or the postgraduate loyalty discount and bursary if you want to stay a little longer at Essex. You can also make the most of your new network by joining us for social and professional networking events, online and in-person.
We’ll keep in touch with you with a monthly email, and across social media, with all the latest news and updates from Essex. And you can come back to campus to say hi, for events and library access. Or why not share your story and inspire current students while adding to your CV, through alumni volunteering.
