While we begin to remove some COVID restrictions across our campuses we want to reassure you that our Student Isolation Support team is still available to help and support all students who self-isolate due to a positive COVID test result or if they develop symptoms.
We are always available for queries and advice regarding isolation, as well as supporting your wellbeing and ensuring you have access to any food or medication that you might need.
Our team will continue to work closely with academic departments to ensure students are able to report absence if they are unwell and receive academic support. Our service will maintain regular contact with any isolating students, Monday-Sunday, and you can also contact us directly via email at isupport@essex.ac.uk.
If you feel worried about the easing of COVID restrictions, then please do reach out to us and we will be happy to arrange a chat with you. Alternatively, you can also speak with the Student Wellbeing Service by emailing wellbeing@essex.ac.uk.
As restrictions continue to be relaxed, we are working hard to make sure we balance the protection of our community with creating a vibrant life on campus for all to enjoy. Across the university, some COVID restrictions will remain as a precaution and we continue to closely monitor infection rates.
Please do continue to report any positive COVID test results to the COVID-19 team at covid19@essex.ac.uk and stay away from campus facilities, or self-isolate on campus, whilst infectious for up to seven calendar days.
Working together we can continue to keep ourselves and our community COVID secure.
