Closures over the State Funeral bank holiday

A bank holiday takes place on Monday 19 September to coincide with the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On this day, some of our facilities and services will be fully or partially closed as detailed below:

Colchester

Facilities

• Day Nursery: closed
• Estates Help Desk: closed (report any issues to Security)
• Post room: closed
• Library: closed from 8pm on Sunday 18 September to 8am on Tuesday 20 September
• Library Reading Room and Postgraduate Reading Room: open 24/7 (accessible from outer doors)
• Catering outlets: closed except for Zest Fresh which will be open from 9am to 6pm and screening the State Funeral
• SU Bar: open from 10am to 11pm and screening the State Funeral
• Sports facilities: open from 10am to 6pm
• Study spaces and PC labs: open as usual
• Wivenhoe House Hotel: open as usual
