Hear from our Cypriot students and alumni

I chose to study at Essex because it is a very popular and well-respected institution and its graduates have extremely good career prospects. I’m glad I did, as life at Essex is simply fantastic! The university has an excellent research rating and Essex Business School is extremely well-organised. I am particularly enjoying my Finance module as it is something I have not studied before; this makes it very interesting.

Choosing Essex was probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The benefits a Cypriot Student has, when choosing Essex, are a lot. In my opinion the most important one is being part of the Essex Cypriot Society. Before arriving at the university I attended a meeting held by the Essex Cypriot Society in Cyprus where I met a lot of people, which was a good start. Essex Cypriot Society will help you find your accommodation building on Arrivals day and take you on a tour around campus and town centre during Freshers week. During term time you will have the chance to attend Greek Nights, movie nights and more. Additionally being part of probably one of the best cultural societies on campus, has given me the chance to volunteer in various projects and fundraise for charity.
