Why Essex?

안녕하세요! Over a third of our student population are from outside of the UK so you’ll feel right at home. Many of our Korean students are studying courses in our departments of Government, Essex Business School and School of Philosophical, Historical and Interdisciplinary Studies.

I didn't study economics at Bachelors level, but I was keen to make a career change. Essex offered the opportunity for me to pursue a Masters in Economics despite not studying it previously, joining a renowned Economics Department. As an international student, the English Language course I took was perfect, as it boosted my English skills, allowing me to communicate better, study to my full potential, and gain a greater understanding of British culture. I found that my course has been incredibly useful after graduating. I now work for the NHIS in Seoul and am an ODA expert, helping UHC of underdeveloped countries.
