Sport Science at Essex is also top for employability according to the Guide.
SRES became the first new school at the University for ten years when it opened its doors in August 2017 - bringing together academic teams from sports therapy and physiotherapy in the then School of Health and Human Sciences with those in the Centre of Sports and Exercise Science, within the School of Biological Sciences.
Based at our new £12million Essex Sport Arena, the School provides cutting-edge programmes in sport and exercise science, sports performance and coaching, physiotherapy and sports therapy.
Head of School, Professor Ian Maynard said: “I am delighted to hear about our Times Good University Guide ranking for 2019. The new School of Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences has made massive strides over the past 12 months, with especially impressive rankings this year in the National Student Survey (NSS) and for our student employability.
“These metrics are particularly important to us and are indicative of the excellent experience that students can expect in SRES and at the University of Essex.”
