The Service Accounting team is based within Finance, Planning and Data Insight section but also elsewhere across the University. The team works closely with budget holders to deliver high quality financial management through close business partnering relationships. The team is professionally responsible to the Director of Finance, Planning and Data Insight although their management reporting line often sits outside Finance, Planning and Data Insight.
Service Accounting is delivered by a range of staff from a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience. In common with other finance disciplines, we are proud to support our staff through professional accounting studies and support with continuous professional development. Our team are members of a variety of CCAB bodies and the University is an ACCA accredited employer - Professional Development.
Success for the Service Accounting Team includes supporting the organisation and budget holders in understanding the financial position, risks to manage and being able to add value in helping the University deliver its strategic priorities.
