Dedicated health and wellbeing facilities

At Essex we have a number of health and wellbeing clinics and labs providing expert support and advice to partners and members of the public.

  • Our Health, Wellbeing and Care Hub offers a range of community-facing services, student placement opportunities, workforce development, training and research, both on the Campus and in the community. The Hub offers face-to-face and online services to maximise accessibility and impact.
  • Our Sports Therapy Clinic supports people with musculoskeletal injuries and offers teaching support and supervision for students in a clinical environment.
  • Our Human Performance Unit supports elite sport professionals and amateurs providing bespoke coaching and sports science testing.
  • Our BabyLab works with families to study how infants and children learn and develop.
  • Specialist labs and facilities in our School of Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercises Sciences include physiotherapy labs, a sport psychology lab, biochemistry lab, biomechanics lab and exercise physiology lab.
  • Facilities in our School of Health and Social Care include a speech and language therapy lab, oral health science labs, and an occupational therapy clinic.
