Improving the knowledge and skill set of your employees or colleagues could be an essential element to the continued successful operation of your organisation. 

Our top-up courses allow applicants with previous industry experience, or those who have completed relevant qualifications up to Level 5, the opportunity to refine their knowledge and experience - and be awarded a full Bachelor of Arts degree.

You'll study alongside students completing the final level of their degree, working to the same rigorous academic standard. This combination of academic learning and experience in Wivenhoe House, our own 4* country house hotel, will enable those on our Top Up to update their vocational skills, competences and knowledge of the industry. 

Our top-up courses

The BA (Hons) Hotel Management and BA (Hons) Events Management with Hospitality top-ups offer a progression route for applicants who wish to complete their BA (Hons) degree after completing an appropriate Level 5 qualification (such as HND, Advanced Diploma or Foundation degree). The Top Up is the last eight months of the accelerated BA (Hons) degrees and encompasses the theory and practical experience you will need for a successful career in the industry.

The top up degree will enable candidates to update their vocational skills, competences and knowledge of the industry. They will have the opportunity to develop and unlock their professional capabilities. The course has a high profile with members of the industry and is heavily industry engaged.

The BA (Hons) Hotel Management Top Up offers a progression route for applicants who wish to complete their BA (Hons) degree after completing an appropriate Level 5 qualification (such as HND, Advanced Diploma or Foundation degree). The Top Up is the last eight months of the accelerated BA (Hons) Hotel Management degree and encompasses the theory and practical experience you will need for a successful career in the hospitality industry.
