For students interested in progressing through to a degree in the Arts and Humanities, this pathway will immerse you in to modules designed to deepen your understanding of key concepts and critical perspectives.

You will study:

  • A module focused on Research and Academic Development Skills. This will give you the essential tools to tackle undergraduate research and writing, as well as improve your communication skills.
  • A module titled Post War Britain: Identity, Culture, Conflict and Change. You’ll explore the events following 1945 that have moulded contemporary Britain, and aim to answer the question: 'how did we get to where we are today?"
  • A module called Analysing Film, Text and Image that will develop your critical appreciation of these three mediums. You will focus on some key works and you’ll analyse their social, historical, and philosophical contexts.
  • And, Theory of Knowledge, a module that will help you understand and evaluate the foundations of knowledge. This module will foster your critical thinking skills, which are essential for thriving in university studies.
