Get two Masters degrees

Study at both Essex and with one of our partner universities to achieve two separate Masters degrees within two years.

Our partnership with the University of Konstanz in Germany enables students to achieve two Masters-level politics or economics degrees in two years across two universities.

These dual awards give you an amazing opportunity to continue your learning at postgraduate level, experience life and education at both Essex and another top university, and gain expert knowledge, skills and experience in demand across a range of sectors.

You will study your first year at Essex, and your second year will be taken at the University of Konstanz.

This dual award is linked with both our Department of Economics and our Department of Government, where you have the opportunity to study one of the following Masters degree with us:

At the University of Konstanz you will either study MSc Economics or MA Politics and Public Administration. Teaching at both Essex and Konstanz will be in English.

If you're applying for a politics degree, you will need to meet the standard entry requirements of your chosen course at both Konstanz and Essex.

If you're applying for an economics degree, you need to make an application for one of the above economics Masters degree at Essex. You will then make a second application the following year for MSc Economics at Konstanz by their admissions deadline of 15 April.

For your study at Konstanz in your second year, you will not pay tuition fees, but you will be required to pay an administrative fee (this fee is subject to change).
