Supporting Pregnancy Endings in the workplace

Prof Boncori has been working on various projects related to the topic of pregnancy endings and baby loss since 2016.

This work has investigated the experience of people in the workplace through surveys and interviews to understand how organisations can best support their employees, and the key challenges they face. In particular, her expertise is focussed on early pregnancy endings (i.e. before 24 weeks gestation – including miscarriage, ectopic, molar pregnancy, and termination) and the various aspects involved in supporting these experiences at work: mental wellbeing, work performance, physical recovery, establishing enabling environment, training for line managers and HR staff, and so on.
