Blue Badge holders

If you are a blue badge holder you pay the registration fee, but not the termly or daily parking charge. You will need to provide a photograph of your Blue Badge to the Estates and Facilities Helpdesk so this information can be added to your parking permit.

Blue Badge holders must display their Blue Badge clearly in their windscreen when parking on campus.

• Contact the Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity Service (SWIS) at include@essex.ac.uk for support with access and disability related issues. 

Non-Blue Badge holders

There are a limited number of parking permits for students living in South Courts and The Copse University accommodation on campus.

If you are a student, resident on campus with a physical disability, severe diagnosed sensory impairment, mental health or medical condition which severely restricts your mobility or ability to mobilise off campus you can apply to park your car in the main campus car parks. Request an application form by emailing include@essex.ac.uk.
