Join us on our Colchester Campus to experience what it would be like to study at Essex Law School. The day will include engaging taster sessions from our expert academics, and a chance to speak to current students.

Join us on our Colchester Campus to discover what it is like to study at Essex Law School. You will take part in engaging taster sessions led by our expert academics and have the opportunity to chat with current students to find out more about life at Essex.

Curious about how the law works in real life? Our legal and human rights experts will introduce you to their practical work. From providing real legal advice to using technology to gather evidence of human rights violations, you will see how the law comes to life outside the classroom.

Our Experience Essex Law School event is open to students in year 12, 13, and mature students, and we welcome bookings from school groups as well as individuals wishing to attend. 

The programme for Experience Essex Law School, including details of planned activities and timings for the day can be found below:

Arrival
9.45am -10.15am Welcome talk and introduction to Essex Law School
10.15am - 11am Exploring the Law in Practice
11am- 12pm Law School and Campus Tour
12pm - 12.45pm

Lunch

We recommend students bring a packed lunch as there will be limited time to buy food on campus
12.45pm - 1.30pm Taster Session 1: Sealing the deal: How contracts are made
1.30pm -2.15pm Taster Session 2: Introduction to Human Rights
2.15pm -2.45pm Q&A with Student Law Society and Student Ambassadors
 2.45pm Depart
