Events for schools and colleges

National Careers Week

National Careers Week

3-8 March 2025 is National Careers Week. You can access our bank of resources to support students in exploring Higher Education, employability and career opportunities, as well as attend our Education Fair.

At Essex we know that employability is an important factor for students in deciding their future, and their Higher Education choices. Next year, we will be offering activities in a few ways to help you and your students make the most of National Careers Week 2025.

Education Fair

As part of National Careers Week 2024, we hosted an Education Fair at our Colchester Campus allowing students to find out what it's like to work in education, how to get into the sector and meet employers. This fair also gave students an insight into other opportunities and careers that they may not have realised existed that could help them to develop their transferable skills or be inspired to take a career path they had not considered!

More information about our 2025 National Careers Week activities will be available soon.

On a placement year you will gain relevant work experience with an external business or organisation allowing you to develop your skills, giving you a competitive edge in the global job market. Read about Karolina’s placement with Greater Anglia.
