Your Continuous Personal and Professional Development (CPPD)
Here in the School of Health and Social Care, we offer CPPD pathways and modules to enable you to continue your personal and professional development, building your knowledge, skills, and professional practice.
Our portfolio of courses offers flexible study options; we have pathway Master's programmes that are modular and enable you to build to a postgraduate degree - with step off along the way if needed. Modules can also be taken as standalone.
Our courses are developed in partnership with local providers of health and social care, aligning with the current priorities in the NHS workforce.
All our programmes will enable you to think critically about your professional area, to apply the latest research, explore new areas and advance your practice. We work in partnership with local providers, commissioning groups, and others, to deliver the academic qualifications and training needed in today's complex health and care services.
If there is a module you would like to undertake, or programme you are interested in starting, you can apply with the relevant form, or email us (cpd@essex.ac.uk) to confirm the current status of your chosen module. Where modules do not have a current start date, we will be maintaining a waiting list of candidates and will get in contact when a start date has been confirmed.
Looking to undertake professional development whilst working? You might be interested in one of our apprenticeships. We offer a range of levels and career paths - find out more on our apprenticeship pages.
Did you know we offer short-term accommodation throughout our spring and summer terms? If you are considering staying locally whilst completing one of our CPD courses, you should check out our accommodations options.
