Postgraduate Masters (PGT) International Health Bursary

How to apply

We will identify eligible students. If you are eligible to receive this bursary, you will be contacted via your Essex email account.

Key dates for courses starting in September/October of the autumn term of the academic year 2024-25:

• You will receive an email to your Essex email, with a link to the application form w/c Monday 31 March 2025.
• The application deadline is Wednesday 30 April 2025 (23:59pm)
• You will be notified of your eligibility for the bursary to your Essex email w/c 12 May 2025 and you will be asked to enter your bank account details securely into MyEssex.
• The deadline to pay any outstanding university debt (this includes education and non-education debt) is Sunday 1 June 2025 (23:59pm). You will not be eligible for the International Health Bursary if you pay your outstanding university debt after this date.
• We will check if you are still a registered student and if you have any outstanding university debt (education or non-education debt) on Monday 2 June 2025.
• Payments will be processed w/c 2 June 2025 if you meet the eligibility criteria and have met the registration and university debt checks.

Key dates for courses starting in January of the spring term of academic year 2024-25

• You will be contacted by the end of the Spring term with instructions on how to submit evidence of your International Health Surcharge costs to claim the bursary.
• Deadline for making a claim is 30 September 2025

The bursary will be paid in November 2025
