Frank Bright MBE arrived at Auschwitz concentration camp at the age of 16 in October 1944. In this interview he recalls arriving at the camp with his mother, the last time he saw her, and how a project to discover the fate of his classmates inspired him to educate young people about the horrors of discrimination, hatred and genocide.
As Patron of the University of Essex’s Dora Love Prize, a school citizenship initiative informed by the Holocaust, he hopes his story will help make the world a better place.
