A new leadership structure has been created to lead the range of Infrastructure and Environments activities within Professional Services.
Chris Oldham, our Deputy Registrar, heads up Infrastructure and Environments, and he’s appointed new Directors to lead the newly structured teams.
Director of Estates, Andy Shephard, oversees Maintenance, Building Services, Capital Development, Space Planning, Compliance / Assets / Contracts, Fire Safety, Knowledge Gateway and Commercial Properties, along with Facilities Management for Southend and Loughton Campuses.
Director of Facilities Services, Kanisha Braddick, oversees Security and Campus Safety, Soft Facilities Management at Colchester, Post Room, Grounds, and Travel and Transport.
In Campus Services, Director Helena Newton oversees Essex Sport, Wivenhoe Park Day Nursery, Accommodation Essex, Essex Food, Event Essex and Wivenhoe House Hotel.
Director of Finance Planning and Resourcing, Sarah O’Laoi, leads teams covering Finance, Customer Services, Marketing and Communications, and Planning and Resourcing.
Director of Sustainability, Rob Davey, leads Energy and Carbon Reduction, Sustainability, Circular Economy, Engagement, and Analytics and Funding.
The Digital Innovation and Technology Services section (DITS), led by recently appointed Chief Operating Officer Ian Arbuthnot also sits within Infrastructure and Environments. Ian leads teams delivering IT Business Services, Strategic Project Delivery, Software Development Services, IT Customer Experience, and IT Infrastructure Services.
The new team structures and Directors will allow an overarching and strategic focus to these core areas of the business.
