Following a University-wide consultation, changes have been made to the options available for staff to disclose their sexual orientation and ethnicity.
This consultation was driven by feedback we received from our community during our work on the Race Equality Charter and through the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index. In order to make the categories more inclusive, there are now more options available for staff to identify their ethnicity and, as gender is captured elsewhere, the sexual orientation category of ‘gay man/lesbian woman’ has now been broken down into two different categories that read ‘gay’ and ‘lesbian’.
