The Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) recognises and rewards collaborative work that has had a demonstrable impact on teaching and learning. Introduced in 2016, the scheme highlights the key role of teamwork in higher education.
The scheme opened to employees from all providers of higher education across the four nations of the UK. Institutions can nominate one team per annum. We strongly encourage all colleagues who participated in the Excellence in Education Awards to consider applying for this highly prestigious award.
Dates will shortly be announced for the next application window.
A workshop will be facilitated by a member of the Academic and Professional Practice in Organisational Development who is trained to provide advice and guidance. The session will introduce and support applicants with writing their application, understanding the award criteria and the application process.
