Accelerated Knowledge Transfers (AKT)

Inspired by the highly successful partnership model of KTP, the Accelerated Knowledge Transfers (AKT) programme has been designed to create short-term collaborations between a Business Partner and a UK Knowledge Base, to rapidly inject innovation capacity with grant funding of up to £35,000 per project.

The programme aims to deliver a short, targeted collaboration lasting between two to four months that accelerates the evaluation or development of an innovation project or concept, which has the potential for significant impact for a business or organisation.

Benefits for an academic taking part in a partnership like this, include:

  • quick projects that allow you to dip into an industry your research aligns with
  • the possibility of leading to bigger projects
  • builds a relationship with an industry partner
