Clifftown Theatre, Southend

Within a beautifully converted Gothic style church resides the Clifftown Theatre, a state-of-the-art performance venue located in the heart of the famous seaside town of Southend-on-Sea and home to the world renowned East 15 Acting School.

The Clifftown consists of five large and distinctly unique rehearsal studios, three of which are fitted with rigging bars for aerial circus rehearsal and the largest of which is also used as a ‘black box’ studio theatre. Clifftown also houses an exquisite theatre space, surrounded by the original stone pillars (circa 1865) and overlooked by mighty, full size organ pipes. Complete with AV screening functionality, as well as highly spec'd technical facilities, this multi-configurational theatre auditorium is a highly sought after performance space for professional touring companies. 

The Clifftown presents an eclectic programme of events from professional touring company productions to conferences, dance performances, live music events, gallery exhibitions, stand-up comedy nights and of course East 15 productions, as well as many more.
