NOTE: First Aid at Work courses are primarily for those who are required to have this training as part of their role, (e.g. patrol officers, field trip leaders, sport staff). If you are unsure if you fall into this group, please get in touch. If you do not fall into this group, we are able to open some courses to all staff on a first-come first-serve basis. We can also aid departments if they wish to book their own courses.
We also have a partnership with Essex Working Well, which is commissioned by Essex County Council to provide workplace health and wellbeing support. This gives Essex staff access to a range of events, webinars and training opportunities, see below for more information.

Essex Working Well provide training sessions specifically aimed at managers, which can help with having difficult conversations and supporting staff.
Stress Risk Assessments are a tool to help identify manage and mitigate/control the risks associated with workplace stress. Undertaking a stress risk assessment will involve a manager, an individual or a team, it will give the manager an opportunity to look closely at the identified stressors within the HSE six areas of work design which can affect stress levels to rise. The manager will then be able to implement targeted interventions to control the risks to the individual as far as reasonably practicable.
Training on completing a Stress Risk Assessment (via Moodle, self-enrolment may be required).
