We are working with Essex Working Well towards a Level 3 Working Well Accreditation. As part of this, Essex staff have access to their range of elearning, webinars and competitions, which are all aimed at improving staff wellbeing.

Essex Working Well update their events, webinars and training opportunities every week on their website. To access the newsletter,  you will need to provide the password WeeklyUpdate23. To attend their webinars, you will need to create an account, where you be asked to provide the details of the WHC Lead. The WHC Lead is Occupational Health, ohquery@essex.ac.uk. 

eLearning

Essex Working Well's elearning sessions include comprehensive resources and links and should take no longer than 45 minutes to complete. There is no need to book, these sessions can be undertaken at a time to suit you. Courses are available in area such as: 

  • Personal development, such as boundaries and self-care, stress and seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
  • Supporting those with disabilities by demystifying disability and looking at long-term medical conditions. 
  • Disability-specific - autism spectrum conditions, specific learning differences, hearing impairment and visual impairment

KWIQ elearning modules

These Knowledge, Workplace, Interesting and Quick (KWIQ) sessions take no longer than 15 minutes, and include modules such as:

  • What is imposter syndrome?
  • What is bystander effect?
  • Demystifying cognitive behavioural therapy
  • Overview of disability
  • 5 minutes to mindfulness and body relaxation

Manager training 

Essex Working Well provide training sessions specifically aimed at managers, which can help with having difficult conversations and supporting staff.
